Planting Instructions
  1. Choose a location in your garden that receives partial sun to full sun for planting lettuce transplants.
  2. Prepare the soil by loosening it with a garden fork or tiller and removing any weeds or debris. Add compost or well-rotted manure to improve the soil's fertility and drainage.
  3. Dig holes that are slightly larger than the root ball of the lettuce transplants. Space the transplants about 6 to 12 inches (15 to 30 cm) apart, depending on the variety. Place each transplant into a hole and fill in the soil around it, gently firming it to ensure good contact between the roots and the soil. Water the transplants thoroughly after planting.
