Sowing Instructions

Luffa thrives in sunny locales with well-drained soil and ample warmth. Choose a sheltered spot in your garden that receives at least 6-8 hours of sunlight daily.

Allow room for Luffa vines to sprawl, either along trellises or over sturdy support structures. These vigorous climbers can reach impressive heights.

Growing conditions:

Provide organically rich, well-drained soil, full sunlight, and consistent watering for optimal growth. Start seeds indoors or sow directly in warm soil after winter, allowing one-meter spacing between plants.

Recommended instructions:

sowing:

  • Select a full sunny sowing area
  • Plan the number of seeds according to 1 m² depending on the size of the area/vessel
  • Number of seeds per square meter: 3-2
  • Sowing depth is twice the size of the seed, 1-0.5 cm deep
  • Keep soil moist until germination. (Not too wet)
  • Watering once a day to once every three days (depending on the season)
  • It is recommended to use compost and organic nutrients and microbes.
